Port Isaac to Port Quinn
A beautiful circular walk along dramatic cliff tops to the tiny, deserted cove of Port Quin and back via peaceful farmland. One of the best short walks in Cornwall.
Port Isaac to Polzeath
Follow the coast path west through Port Gaverne, past Lobber Point and along the coast to the surfing beach at Polzeath. Catch the bus back or arrange a lift.
Port Isaac to Tintagel
A stunning stretch of the coast path heading east past dramatic slate cliffs, Rocky Valley and the ruins of Tintagel Castle. A full day adventure.
Port Gaverne &Lobber Point
A gentle stroll from Port Isaac to the sheltered beach at Port Gaverne, then up to Lobber Point for panoramic views. Perfect for a relaxed morning.
The Rumps & Pentire Head
Spectacular headland walk near Polzeath with Iron Age cliff fort remains. Incredible views of The Mouls island and frequent seal and seabird sightings.

Port Gaverne Beach
A sheltered, pebbly cove just around the headland from Port Isaac. Safe swimming, rock pooling and a lovely pub right on the beach.
Polzeath Beach
The area’s premier surf beach with surf schools, lifeguards and a buzzy vibe. Great for beginners and experienced surfers alike.
Damer Bay
A beautiful, sandy beach on the Camel Estuary. Calmer waters than the surf beaches — ideal for families, paddleboarding and kayaking.
Rock Beach
A vast stretch of golden sands and turquoise sea on the shore of the Camel Estuary, opposite the popular town of Padstow on Cornwall’s north coast.
Trebarwith Strand
A dramatic beach flanked by towering cliffs. A large expanse of sand at low tide and wonderful rock pools. The café above is excellent.
Coasteering & Kayaking
Guided coasteering, sea kayaking and paddleboarding from Port Gaverne and nearby beaches. An exhilarating way to see the coastline.
Tintagel Castle
The legendary birthplace of King Arthur, dramatically perched on the cliff edge. The new bridge and steps make it an unforgettable visit.
Bodmin Moor
Wild moorland with tors, ancient stone circles and scenic walks. Visit Brown Willy (Cornwall’s highest point), the Cheesewring or Jamaica Inn.
The Camel Trail
A flat, traffic-free cycling and walking trail following the old railway line from Padstow to Bodmin. Bike hire available in Padstow and Wadebridge.
Doc Martin Tour
Port Isaac is famous as the filming location for ITV’s Doc Martin. Wander the village and spot the surgery, schoolhouse and other iconic locations.
Fishing Trips from Padstow
Join a local fisherman for a mackerel fishing trip out of Padstow harbour. A brilliant experience for all ages.
St Nectans Glen
A stunning 60-foot waterfall formed by the river Trevillet carving through Late Devonian slate.
